I see a lot on the touring forum but my Softail doesn't have a radio that I can plug into or an aux to use. I want to be able to power/recharge my ipod while riding. Is there anything for us? A cigarette lighter to install or something?
Thank you. The Powerlet site was exactly what I was looking for. Now I just need how I want to do this... ipod in my pocket or actually mount it. Where to mount it, ect. Good choices to slave over.
Thanks everyone.
I would recommend in the pocket. Seen the brackets brake. Fortunately it happened when he was taking the ipod off the bracket, or if you go with the bracket may want to tether it some how. I am sure the type of roads you have make a huge difference though. Rough roads up here and the vibration of the motor had some part in the bracket failing i figure.
I have triple bags attached on the inside of my windshield. I have two choices... Either run the power adaptor (cigarette socket) up under the tank and into one of the pockets. There I can charge my phone or ipod.
Or I can put the adaptor on the handle bars and plug the ipod, with a type of holder, into that. Either way, good choices.
