recently purchased a pre-owned 2009 HD Soft Tail Fat Boy and was looking it over really good after having it a few days. when looking at the bottom, near the shocks, i saw a single black bare ended wire that appearantly had been pulled off from somewhere. i removed the seat to see if i could figure out where it came from, but no luck.
the wire appears to be coming from a sensor on the top rear of the tranny. anyone know what this sensor is for or where this wire may go?
thanks in advance for the help
Does it have a powercommander or some other tuner installed with after market pipes? If so, it could be the rear 02 sensor connection thats not being used anymore. Other than that guess, I don't have a clue.

yes thx, everything electrical (N,6th gear, turn, headlights, alarm, flashers, etc) seems to be functioning. but what i don't know is if this wire actually controls something important.
Tranny Sensor? Just stay away from the chicks with an adam's apple and big hands/feet. Or just ask to see the goods before you take her home - tragedy avoided.
