i've attached the dtc retrieval procedure...if you get any codes, write them done, then do the procedure to clear them, go for a ride and check codes to see if they get thrown again

Thanks brother. But I have the same exact procedure and I tried it this morning 5 times. All I get is the dash lights to flash three times then nothing.
i've used this procedure twice and works, mine is 07 train...did you have the key fob with you when you tried?...in the second and third step you have to keep the odo button pressed until turning the ignition on and then release the button, you'll see the speedo needle move and lights in dash turn on...
So you did not have codes on the OD? Then you are probably good, or did you not get the procedure to work? And darn you tropical dwellers.
I thought I gave you some good advice. I explained the 3 methods your '09 Harley cools itself. The only way of knowing if you have the EITMS enabled is 1) if you have a super tuner/race tuner/tts/(some tuner) along with the software to manage the
device, and you can see it. 2) you have your dealer enable or disable it unless you have a touring model. 3) It kicks on, and you notice it.
To be honest it can be enabled, but always stay disabled until your engine reaches a specific temperature. Do you have a Service Manual?
Either way. Being the nice guy that I am, and it being the Merry Christmas season. I did a little searching for you. This is the season of giving. So I will give you a little more of my time.
Perhaps I am being unclear. Is there a PHYSICAL MECHANICAL APPARATUS(control box, micro switch, little pink sticker of an elephant) that would be hidden somewhere on my bike, that I can go outside and look for to see if my bike is equipped with this feature? OR is it an internal computer program?
Did you read any of the links? Man, you really need a spoon today?
1) told you you needed software..... That should be a clue that it is computer related.
2) gave you links to specifics on how to enable of disable on touring models that also mentioned it is a dealer issue if you do not have the software (computer program) that will allow you to turn it on or off.
Really not trying to be a smart ***, but your really not helping yourself either.
So did you customize that bike in your signature that way yourself?
