I'm getting the deluxe passenger floorboards for Christmas, and my question is this:

Do you think I'll have a problem with the short shots and them? It looks like the pipes will end right under the boards when they are down. So I'm hoping it won't be a problem.

Any thoughts/ concerns/ suggestions/ ideas are appreciated.'

Is there a problem with your current pegs and their location? The floor boards will have the same result.

 

First of all, there is something very important that I need to point out just in case you are not aware of it: that scoot of yours is so incredibly beautiful that my eyes are burning just looking at it!!!

Second of all, (now that I have got that out of my system, there are extenders for foot pegs that move them further out by about 1 1/2 inches or so which were necessary when I mounted the side triangular chrome tool box. That helps with clearance issues. Also, I was about to order floorboards when I decided on these instead for the passenger which come in regular, large and OVERSIZED which I ordered. Very comfy and not too obtrusive. Check them out.

Incidentally, have I mentioned that that bike of yours is good looking? If I have, it's a lie...

I would check to see if the mounts for the floorboards lower the board position. If so and if the mount doesn't move the whole assembly outward I think you might have an issue with clearance with your pipes. You might want to look at a heritage or fatboy with the passenger boards before you buy them to see for sure.

 

I have the V&H BBS on my Heritage. The contours of my exhaust and yours are real close to being the same. My floorboards come out further than the original peg and sort of curve down and over the top of the exhaust.

I think yours will work out fine with the floorboards.

I have V & H longshots on my 2010 deluxe and was told by the HD dealer that the deluxe passenger floorboards would not work due to the pipes. Keep me posted if they do work. What swingarm cover did you install?

 

Everything will be just fine I have Reinhart short staggered on my fatboy and have a set of floor boards on it no problems at all unless you consider less bitching about comfort from your passenger a problem.

 

My dealer told me there would be no problem mounting them. I'm just concerned about them ending under the boards.
