I got up bright and early yesterday morning, let the dogs out and plugged the tractor in. Had a cup of coffee, went out and started the tractor. Went back in for a second cup of coffee, until the hydraulics were warm.

Plowed the top of the driveway, and made it 3/4 of the way down the driveway for the first pass, when my grader blade fell off! (The pivot pin broke). I went to the shed for a chain, and dragged the blade back to my shop. Fortunately within the last month I bought a flux-core welder and am starting to learn to weld.

Took me an hour to get the three point hitch and the blade lined up. The pin is about a 1.5" bolt that sheared off (I knew it was looking bad last summer). I ground it off so I could weld the interior of the bolt and work my way out. As this is a pivot pin, if not done right, won't pivot right.

Happy Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I got done, it pivots better than it did before the mishap.

Don't know how strong my weld is, but I plowed the rest of the driveway with no problem. Good thing, we're looking for a couple of feet.

Default Omg!!!

I was feeling bad cause I had to put my bike away for the winter, then having to read all the posts about riders down south that can ride most of the year.

Now I dont feel so bad.

I would like someone to explain to me WHY your complaining about a few inches of snow? We dont complain till you can measure it with a yard stick!!

Oh ya! I'm in Buffalo NY!

A few days ago, I took mine out of the trailer, and put it in the garage. It's snowing right now, with about 4" on the ground. Supposed to keep coming for another 12 hrs. I can go out there & drool a little, & detail somemore I guess. Maybe some more shiney stuff will arrive in the mail tomorrow, & I can put it on.

Can't speak for anyone else but I live in the south so I can ride over 350 days a year. I would NEVER live in the great white north, I would go crazy not being able to ride in the winter time!

Oh well, guess I will go do some fluid changes today since I can't even get out the drive to go to work.

The city of Charlotte is shut down today and everything is closed down here where I work in Rock Hill, SC. Hell, they closed the mall and McDonalds! I just recently moved here from Chicago so all I can do is just laugh.

What the hell is snow?

People can trash P.R.O.K (Peoples Republik of Kaleefornia) all they want...but we get to ride year 'round.

I don't know why they would shut Rock Hill down, that place is fairly flat!

Going to be another shitty day tomorrow. Fort Bragg has already announced the post is gonna be closed.

Sometimes I get the feeling that New England has tracked me down and is punishing me for leaving.
