Default Saddlebag Mounts

Hello all! I am lining out a parts list for my upcoming build and I have a question. I am going to use a set of hard bags from Harley (Roadking or FLHT) on my softail. Anyone have a line on a good mount for these to mount to the bike. Quick change would be nice. Will the ghost brackets work?

Cycle Visions bagger tail is the way to go. I just did this myself. They are not quick detach, but if you want the bags supported properly, this is my recommendation. I would not mount these bags with ghost brackets on my ride...

Here is my bike with the RKC bags.

Thanks. I saved the web page for when I am ready to order. Those bags look sweet on there.

I would not use any quick detach mounts with the HD FL Bags. they need support at the bottoms. IMO go with what has already been suggested the Cycle Visions Bagger Tail. If you really want to remove its not that big a deal only a few bolts.

Not sure what bike you are building, but I have a CV Tailbagger for sale in the classifieds. It is for a wide tire bike, but as cheap as I am selling it you could make it fit any Softail.

I am making the parts list at the moment. I am buying a softail stock frame in a few weeks. Probably going to buy the FLST front end at the same time. I will spend the rest of this year accumulating parts as I come across them. I am buying the engine, transmission and primary next March (2012). That way, the bike will be paid for when it is done. Going for the look of what a Heritage and Roadking would look like if they had a bastard child with a little bit of custom thrown in.
