Default Goodbye CrossBones, and Rocker, too?

Well, I went into my local Harley Davidson shop the other day to take a glimpse of the new Blackline (very nice). BUT, I got other news. My CrossBones is now a "classic". Apparently H-D is discontinuing both the CrossBones and the Rocker C.

Now, this is where is gets a little confusing. Two people at the store got different things from the H-D reps. One thought the Blackline was going to directly replace those two bikes in mid-year production. Meaning, from here on out, no more. The other thought that Harley was going to keep producing the two bikes throughout the 2011 model year.

By the way, the Blackline is the best we'll ever see of a reincarnated Nightrain. For all you folks out there wanting the 'Train to come back, here it is. If that is REALLY the case, I'm disappointed. I LOVED the 'Train and the new bike simply doesn't do it for me. It's still raked out and all...just wish it was completely blacked out like the Train was.

Whoa! Sorry, guys. I ran a search and came up empty. Oh, well.

I do know, last year was just rumours, and nothing came of it. Now, it's official.

I guess my main question is when production will actually cease on the CrossBones and Rocker C?

I have heard that the Rocker and Bones will no longer be in the line-up for the 2012 model year. Since the new year models start being produced sometime around Sept......

I can only estimate that they are still available. However, at the same time, Harley is going back to ordering bikes vs. mass producing everything and having all models easily available.

I have spoken with a few dealerships and they say there will still be models of every bike on the floor....but there won't be several of the same model. You can still demo and pick what you want, but you will either need to order it and wait for it to be made and shipped or you will pay high dollar for the one in front of you.

As far as the new Blackline, I'm sure they are producing them now to get them into the dealers hands and into the public eye.

If they were good sellers they would still be around the demand for them must be way down so its on to something new. then they will bring them back in a few years.

Yeah. I can see both models coming back in a few years. HD likes to do that sometimes to keep the interests up in the model.

Either that or they have new models in vision that will come back in place of......
