Metal more solid. I have the lo fender on mine and need to bend the plastic a little to havr it sit flush. My fear is a painted plastic piece will crack paint when i try to bend slightly when flush
if i had a metal one made to the correct specs then flex wont be a problem. I just dont know what is involved with a metal one beimh fabbed ($$$). I dont know of a place that can fab a custom plastic one.
Plus tough pill to swallow to pay $150 for a painted piece of plastic imo.
So im looking for ideas/alternatives.

Take the original you have, heat it with a paint gun and shape it to fit the fender, then send it out for painting or paint yourself ... I believe someone on here did that. but can't remember who ...
I have seen a metal one in the Harley catalog.. But before I spent a ton of money on it, I would probably go with a leather combination tank bib/seat plate cover.. I have seen a couple here on the forum and they are T&A...
