Default Noob Question

Never had a bike before that I cared whether it was clean or not. This one is different, '06 softail standard. Before this years riding season goes into full swing, i would like to really clean the bike up, in particular the motor. What products do you guys use to clean up the cylinders, cases etc? I want something that will remove old road grime but not mar up the chrome if it gets hit with over spray.

Look at the S100 products. That make several that will help get everything clean especially the motor. Once it is clean, I normally just use ONR (Optimum No Rinse) on the paint. Put on a layer of sealant and you are good to go for several months.

Thanks guys. I will give all of your suggestions a try. I had heard about people using pledge before but was always a little skeptical of this.

im not sure about pledge on the motor..... someone said scrubbing bubbles cleans up that grey engine pretty good. the engine is in need of a good cleaning on mine also since most of last season was spent barhopping instead of traveling, the bike got a lil funky.....hehehehehe!

Pleadge on the paint seat and leather items works like a charm and You have the lemon smell all day I was using invisible glass until someone pointed me to pledge.
