Default Riser choice for Apes

Couple of questions.

Which risers would you go with? Looking at the 2 tone high rollers or the piston risers.

http://www.carlinidesign.com/harley-...sers/index.php

Looking at going with Carlini 16" gangster apes not sure the difference between 1.5" or 1.25 bars. Is this the thickness of the bars? What is the stock bar thickness?

These are going to be at an "illegal" height in Texas. But from what others have said police don't enforce the handlebar height law.

Stock bars are usually 1" in diameter. I personally think that the piston risers would look hot on your bike the way it is now (if your sig pic is current). If you are gonna go with some Ride wrights in the future, I'd say go with the high roller risers.

Stock bars are 1" in dia. The 1.50 and 1.25 are the dia. of the bars.Carlinis come in several different sizes and stepped and non stepped versions. So do your home work and plan your future mods accordingly. If you plan on getting a Nacelle do not get the high roller risers they do not work with it,with out trimming the Nacelle..I have the Carlini 1.25 non stepped Gangsters and high roller risers.I choose these because they are the narrowest end to end at 36.5".The 1.50 and stepped 1.25 bars are like 41" end to end.I like the look of narrower apes.Don't rush into it there are some things to consider before plunking down you're hard earned cash.

Sig picture is current. Ride Wright wheels is what I am going to go with later this year.

Wasn't planning on going with the Nacelle there is just something about it that just doesn't do it for me. I do like the narrower apes I don't like the extra wide looking apes. But don't care for the super narrow apes either. 36.5" sounds just right.

I like the 1.5" bars as they are so fat and really look good with the FL front end on the deluxe. It makes a big difference in the way the bike looks. If you get those you have to get some 1.5" risers. I like the high rollers, but on your bike I think the all chrome version will look better as your bike is root beer. I got the chrome with black risers since my bike is black.

I like the two tone ones as well but with my bike being root beer was the reason I was looking at the piston ones since they had more chrome.

Also will have to see some of the 1.5 bars on another deluxe so I can see how it looks. Some of the wider ape hangers just don't look good to me for some reason.

I should have it back tomorrow or early next week....I will post pics for sure. I did 14" 1.5" Flyin' Apes with the 2 tone High Roller risers.
