Lost Compression
Well after having the bike at an indy for several days we are both stumped. the rear head lost compression and mid range power while riding down the interstate sunday and began running very rich out of that cylinder. got it home checked the plugs the rear one was fouled I cleaned it and restarted the bike, now it is idling at about 3500rpm and cant get it to slow down. I called it a night and carried it to the local mechanic the next day, he has gone over it and over it and got the idling back down but it keeps fouling plugs and riding like crap in the midrange and running so rich it is nearly blowing fuel out of the pipes. I am now going to carry it to the dealership and let them diagnose it, hopefully they will not destroy my bank account to bad. oh yeah it is 2007 night train with screaming eagle air kit straight pipes and stage 1 download. any way if anyone had any thing similar to this happen give me a heads up of what maybe to expect or what solved your problem, thanks
How did you determine that you lost compression while riding down the road?
If you lost compression what did you do to restore it?
Compression doesn't come and go. If you lost compression there has to be a mechanical failure of some nature.
The previous reply suggesting a stuck injector is possible, so is a bad ECM or ignition system.

I may have worded that wrong, it began riding like **** on the road losing power in the mid range, and once off the interstate i could feel the exhaust coming out of the pipe that run to the front cylinder and there was no exhaust pressure coming from the pipe that runs to rear cylinder, but as i would get on it trying to get home it was not burning the fuel coming out of the rear cylinder and fouled the plug, I hope I have explained a little better being this is my first Harley and have been riding sport bikes for years I am still trying to learn the vtwin
