Just put some under the tank on my street glide. It was difficult to hide the strings 2 (30) because of the design of the tank on the left side and the motor on the right. They are a little more visible than I would like but turned out ok. I wanted to be seen from the side better when riding at night and this sure helped. I went with clear as colors are a problem in many states. Get a remote and skip the switch, its easier to wire and easier to use.

Good idea about using clear. I'd suggest a picture or two incase someone claims, "I didn't see him!" later.

not so true. it's illegal for cars and trucks but motorcycles are a grey area as the code doesn't directly name them as part of the code. I've read it a bunch of time before I decided to put them on my bike, all the local cops say its ok as long as its not a crotch rocket and not flashing. otherwise I've also been told it's what they pull you over just to do a safety inspection on the bike. (loud pipes, turn signals, ie)
i ride it this bright all the time.
