I was looking for a inexpensive slipon for my 08 Heritage Stage 2 that I just bought with stock stufflers and my HD shop said that there was a difference in the CS slip ons as some will blue and the more expensive ones will not well any info on this please
I ran cycle shack slip ons on my bike for awhile until they came out with some decent pipes . I had no problem at all. no color change no problems in fact i still have a set of cycle shack slip ons slash cut in my garage in great shape. came off my deluxe if your interested $75.00 plus shipping and there yours pm me if interested . Performance wise cycle shack are rated very good
Thanks all I just ordered the 3 in side slash from my local guy, after getting a response from CS.... they said that the 2.5 in do not have the sleeve/ liner.. and the 3 in. do so I ordered from local shop ,,, about $300. damn I missed your offer nikonf8.
But what did you go to ... I think VH long shots would be my next pipes but for now I hope the 3 in CS will let this breath
And for info there are a full set of pipes/mufflers on ebay now for $100 bucks (off road ?)
I recently purchased a use 2003 Fat Boy with Cycle Shack slip-on's, and I'm not sure which model they are, but I can tell you there's 2 things I don't like about them....
They have blued and rusted, and the slash cuts don't match top to bottom.
They do sound good, but I will be replacing this entire exhaust...(stock pipes with CS slip-on's).....with V&H Longshots as soon as money allows.....
LOVE MINE !! paid $178 for them. I just scored a brand new in the box set of 2' cycle shack drag pipes for $75!!. gonna put em on next season with BUB 2' quiet baffles or BCT baffles. heres some pics
I put a set of CS slip ons on my friends 1200 custom a couple of years ago and they sound real deep and throaty. 2 years later and about 9,000 miles later they still look great too.
