FINALLY Joe King Speed Shop 3/4 helmet has arrived
A full year? or just a long time?
Mine took 5 months (trust me though I sent him a chit ton of emails - sometimes just a whole bunch of ???????????????????????????? 's lol
He really is a super busy guy - but he needs to change his website so it says it takes 4-6 months not 3-5 weeks lmao
Just keep emailing him every week in a some what polite but stern way.
Its not a scam, he's just on Brazilian time lmao
Thats nice clean work man! I love the design. I actually own a '12 Sreet Glide. I found this thread through a google search. I love google. I doubt I will get messed with too much with out the DOT stickers. I wear a brain cup now and they dont say jack. I sub to the thread. If you dont mind updating when you get it.
I am very happy with ot overall and it's super low profile!Very nice work all together (like Malingerer said - it's like art)
This thread is hilarious. Started in May 2011. People waiting a year for their lids. And then a guy chimes in today with a garage sale buy. haha.
And did any of you guys who bought this pricey, non-DOT lid really think there wouldn't be a backlash on THIS board? haha.
Anyway, the lids are very pretty. The maker may wanna watch out putting DOT on a lid that ain't though. Even though he's in Brazil, he could find himself having a hard time sending these to the U.S.

I love the style & craftsmanship but that metal flake is ???????... not for me
Way cool lids for sure....just way too long of a wait time for me...I am an "instant gratification" kind of guy (just ask my wife!! LOL) Cant believe it takes that long unless he has one HELL of a backlog. Anyhow, the helmets look great. Congrats to all who have received them!
btw I am with the guy with the Arai...my last one was 850 bones too...if I was worried about crash safety thats what I would be wearing...not a hardened yamika...once my face is smashed into the cement I would pretty much rather die than be a vegetable...
Also, if you are that worried about safety then get a Snell approved helmet vice DOT anyhow...and are you wearing full leathers, gloves and boots too???? Never thought in a million years I would see guys getting blasted on a harley board for not having a DOT helmet!! LOLOL

IF you're in a state that requires a helmet and would rather not wear one then why not find the smallest and best looking one if you are required to wear one! Fake tank shifters and kick starters aren't required so 2 totally different subjects!
