i need some help. I have an 04 nightrain i resintly changed my oil when i drained it i blew into the oil resivor to speeed up the draining process i refilled it with 3 quarts of oil when i took it out on the road it statrted blowing oil everywhere out of the exahust and air breather. The bike still runs fine. I asume i just way overfilled it because it is still reading a little over full on the dip stick. But now i am paranoid im not sure if i should of blown in the resivoar and if i screwed something up.
Sounds like its overfull. The way I change the oil is first warm it up then drop the oil and change the filter then refill with 2 1/2 qts then ck the level then fire it up shut off and then recheck add as ness to just under the full mark. You should change the oil again this time without the filter make sure you run it before you drop the oil so its still in the oilbag
