Help with mapping

I put V and H short shots on my 07 softail with V and H drake AC and used a map recommended by PC guys. I don't want to get dynod yet cause I am eventually going to get new cams, pistons and pushrods and don't want to spend the money on a dyno yet. So I'm wondering if it will be all right to ride with the recommended map til I get dynod, which will be atleast 5000K til that happens. Or does anyone have a map for a PC3 with short shots and drake AC they could give me? Thanks

Put the map in and see how it runs. If it does not ping or run hot or have a lot of decel popping, run it. You won't get all you can out of a canned map but it won't hurt anything as long as the above it true.

I tried it out yesterday and it ran ok, only had a bit of popping on the decel. I did not that the pipes turned color were they meet the engine but from my understanding most pipes do that

What color did the pipes turn? if they have a yellowish tint it is running too lean. if its bluish should be okay as running rich is not going to hurt the engine just your wallet.
