Is Corolrrite the best place to get original harley paint ? Can i get it directly from Harley ? It's a red pearl with a gray inset. I purchased a fairing that i want to match .

I think H-D makes you buy two of any size paint you buy, so doubling the price.

Or maybe that is just for the small ones

 

I'm pretty sure you can get it direct from HD. I needed Bone White to re-paint a tank a while ago, and was able to get a quart from them. Of course they didn't have it in stock and had to order it. But I had it a week later.

My painter says HD is converting over to water based and you can't get the OEM paint any longer...........don't know if it's true, just what he told me.

 

Wouldn't a move like that leave everyone up the creek?

 

Yes they have gone to a water based paint. I work at a body shop and we ran across that. Seems like we got some regular paint that matched HD stuff from PPG.
