[:@]In the service area of the Harley web site I noticed a recall (0903: torque smoothing calibration) for my 07 Heritage. Has anyone had the work done yet?

Applies to all TC96's apparently. My Dyna, too. Not rushing in for this one...the torque feels just fine and my 1,000mile fondling comes up soon anyway. Who knows, they may screw up that great rush you get in first now?

This is the first I have heard of it I had my 1000mi checkup about three weeks ago, and no one mentioned anything to me about it. Bike runs, rides fine as far as I can tell.
But I'm no Harley expert, and this is my first, so I'm not a great source for knowing if anything was screwed up.

Pop onto that Harley Service Page thing and enter your VIN, see what comes up. (that's how I learned of it). Presumably, they do that when you take it in for service and apply any outstanding recall fixes.

A friend of mine contacted 4 dealers and the last one had an answer. He had a bulletin and read it to my friend over the phone. What he said was that Harley made a change in the map while it was in production, that is why they want the VIN. All bikes made before a certain VIN needs to be upgraded. This new map does not change the A/F. What it does is change the timing. Doing this it is suppose to help with the surging and the lugging that everyone has been complaining about. The other 3 dealers said that the MOCO is closed today and they will call them on Monday. Other then that we will have to wait until Monday to see if the others come up with the same answer.

Do you have a link to the recall web site, I found the service section but was not able to locate the recall section.

Oui....por vous:

https://www.harley-davidson.com/EX/M...iceCheckup.asp

(It's not a "recall section", per se....you just enter your VIN and it'll tell ya' if any apply to your bike)

Says my bike needs it. I'd like to hear from somebody who has had it done. My bike runs great and i don't want anybody touching it if it's not necessary.

Same bike as you Sean883,my Train's running great also.I put it away a bit early so as to get the 1,000 check-up as part of a fresh start this spring.HD website says I need it also,I'm going to let 'em do it and see what happens,I can always bring it back in if needed.

Going to cross post this issue in the general chat forum.

Did it after I took a look over in the touring section, and sure enough mine needs it too.
I also found the actual Service Bulletin that Pittguy managed to find.
Heres the link to it if your interested.

Guess I'll be talking to the dealer as soon as I can get them on the phone.
