Default Pulling Primary Cover

I was wondering what you guys do about covering the primary if you're pulling the cover to get it powdercoated. it'll be about 2 weeks while I'm waiting to get the parts done and I want to make sure no moisture or dirt finds it's way in there...

Stuff rags in it. I'd be a lot more concerned about cylinders being open than the primary and most people just stuff those with rags. (Not sying you said anything about cylinders, but using as an example)

I would just throw a towel over it..But I would suggest that you change the screws out to allen heads while you have it off..

I always just crammed a trash bag over it all to cover it up. I would not worry too much about the primary. The big thing will be the mess it makes taking the cover off. I always take a trash bag (there is a theme here!) and wrap it around the frame really good to allow the left over fluid to run down the bag so I can catch it. It will be messy. If you have never pulled a cover make sure you pull the inspection cover off. Two of the bolts go into the inner cover holding the outer cover on. Good luck and it should look good.
