Sore as heck!!
Your '02 FXST will either get fixed (I doubt this) or totaled.
The insurance company will that the cheapest way out and sometimes totaling it is cheapest cause they get to sell the bike for salvage. So figure our what you bike is worth retail, and subtract the salvage value. If that number is lower that the repair estimate you will get the total retail value, less your deductible of course.

I always thought they replaced frames when they were bent. Usually businesses play it safe and replace parts if they think there is any chance of a safety issue.
If they want to stake the future of their company on repairing the frame, then maybe it will be safe and there isn't anything to worry about.

The one and only time I went down hard they totaled my bike because of a little tiny bend in the frame. I had no choice in the matter. Glad you came through Ok. I was laid up for two months. Road rash was so bad they were talking about skin grafts. Shattered my wrist on top of it all.
The guy that hit me last year had them and the adjuster was cool, gave me everything I wanted. you can't bend an axle without the swingarm getting tweaked. good luck and let us know how you make out, is it at a dealer or an indy? some cases it's better at a dealer when wrecked they stand fast and won't fix it where the indys will
I don't like to sue anyone, but sometimes U just have to, to get what's coming to U.
U shouldn't be out of pocket any money when someone else damages Ur property.
and if U end up getting a salvaged title, U will take a hit if/when U sell or trade her in.
Don't take much injury's these days to get some $$$ with a good lawyer.

Try and get another shop to give you thorough estimate on your bike and compare it with the other estimate. Sometimes you can sell your wrecked bike and take the repair money and come out pretty good.
I am in the insurance industry for 24 years
Geico is a bunch of ballbusters but if you take a very stern position and the frame is bent you are within the right to demand it be a total loss.
Sue the bimbo who fled the scene for any cost differential as well as pain and suffering. Her insurance carrier will want to dispose of this matter quickly being she fled the scene and is turning herself into the cops.
