i will echo what these guys said, mineral spirits. As long as you are using it on paint that has already cured, like your factory finish, it will be fine. That's how I fix oopsies when I am striping. It takes the wet striping paint off and the finish is fine. Hopefully you got back to it in time.
I did hit it with the hose ASAP along with the rags, my son and I. I am also lucky in that my bike shop is 2 blocks away. I got it to him ASAP after the hose and the rags. I could not miss work, long story. My guy at the shop said not to worry, he is on it, yea, right not worry! If I can I will sleep a few hours in the morning and be at his shop door as he pulls in to open for the day. I will also post after I see it, do what I gotta do and give results. Note to self, don't store jack **** above or around the scooter from this day on. It might be a good reminder to all others to see what is stored around your scooters too!
Ouch, that's gotta hurt, sorry to hear it & hope it turns out ok . Think I'll clear a nice wide path in & out of my garage. I'm rebuilding a bathroom & got **** everywhere.
Damn, very sorry to hear of this misfortune Tbone. No worries though, it can be fixed as good as new. It just takes some time & money. But I'm sure the shop can clean it up real good for you.
Happy New Year Bud, it will be OK
hahaha, sorry to laugh, but this is like a nightmare to all bike owners! Sorry to hear the bad news, but like they said if nothing works, call the insurance company! Good luck!
