Santos, wheels are cheap here Southern California. Just have to watch
Craigslist until you see a deal. I had them powder coated.

Sorry about the misspelling on your name.

Can't stop looking at your bike.... it's a beauty. I have an idea, it looks really retro why not go with some vintage style half moon floor boards, some early tank badges, and a cat eye shaped tank dash. The seat looks great but I think a springer seat (pogo style) would finish off the look.

Thanks Charlie, you have some good ideas. I'm still considering the
spring solo seat but only if I change to Heritage type fenders. I like
the Heritage/Deluxe look but that would require more $$$. I put it
together the way it is using the old rear fender with sort of a bobber
look but I am so partial to the full fender-ed nostalgic look. I
hope to make some $$$ this week installing apes and a nacelle on
a Heritage. Thought about pin striping this week but that would be
a waste if I change to the full fender-ed look. I see so many really
cool looking Heritage/Deluxe bikes on this forum and it just drives
me nuts!! Thanks, Pops.

Your bike would look sick with full fenders a.d a springer solo seat.

I still like the classic style, but for now I just want to ride and enjoy
the bike. I guess I need to stop looking at all the Bad *** bikes on
this forum!!

I love what you've done with the bike. If I owned it now, I would swap out all of the ball-milled chrome covers with something a little more tough - maybe stock covers with wrinkle black powder coat. You made a great choice to ditch the dated wheels and AC cover, now it's time to do the same with the tranny, derby, timer, and inspection covers.
