This is a beater I bought not long ago. It has a Kraftech Softail frame
and a 95" motor. I bought it off Craigslist cheap after selling my 2004
Heritage Softail which I dearly miss. Money got real tight after I retired
and had a gang of money in the Heritage so I had to downsize.
I thought I'd post some pics of my progress to get some ideas and
thoughts from you guys. I was thinking of maybe installing a spring
solo seat and and cutting the rear fender struts off and mounting a
floating fender on the swingarm with a fender bracket going over the
top of the fender down to the swingarm.
I posted some pics with the first one being the way I got the bike.
Sorry about picture quality. I'm definitely open to any ideas or
thoughts.

It looks great! I like the seat just the way it is, but that's just me. I don't care for the sprung seat look.

I'm not sure why you refer to it as a beater, looks like an awesome road-worthy ride to me! You did a real good job on your makeover. Doesn't seam to "need" anything. You're doing just fine without my input. Keep on keepin on

Enjoy!

Thanks PanHeadRich, you're probably right I need to leave it alone
and just ride and enjoy it. My ridin' buds tell me the same but I
guess I'm just a tinkerer. Thanks again.

Wonder how a full stretched fender (rear) would look? Maybe some old school pinstriping...liking it so far.

Wow, that looks great. How about a sissy bar? Maybe orange trim rings around the rims. I am going to powder coat my rims all flat black and do that. I also went with copper accents. Don't go to crazy your'e almost there. Good work. Oh yeah, my sissy bar is from Twisted Steel. It was custom made for $300. Check out his website. I get compliments all the time.
