Had one removed from 05 Road King, done by one of the paintless fellows, "The Dent Doctor" at the Daytona Beach Flee Market. Charged me $100, took about an hour and did a great job, I knew where to look so I could see a bit of the bite but nobody else would ever notice.

Had a dent on my Ultras tank where I dropped my helmet...

Bought a puller kit from Harbor frieght, (the kind you hot glue the puller to the dent, and back ot off with a wrench Similar to Ding King setup) that pulled out alot of it, but then I emptied the tank, Aired it out for a few days (didn't want fumes...)

heated the dent area with a heat gun, slowly, to avoid burning, once hot applied DryIce wrapped in a microfiber cloth. Took about 8 times doing this, but now the dent is very difficult to see unless the light is just right.

Thanks Guys! the dry ice/compressed air is worth a shot! i will give that a try. worst case. the whole thing gets a custom paint job with shaved fenders! its a win win situation!

I've seen a lot of good deals for Softail gas tanks on ebay this winter. I got one in great condition for $82 plus $20 shipping. I saw some others go for even cheaper. It's a buyer's market on ebay during the off season.
