I don't have a bare-bones but I do run a LePera and it's not built for pure comfort. Sits me lower and back abit compared to the stock and though it is hard it doesn't pinch my tail-bone like the stock seat so it's much better than stock IMO.
After using mine for a while it's definitely broken it. When I first got it, it was hard as a rock. Now I dare say it's comfortable. I'm probably going to have it on the bike for the next 150 mile trip I make. I think I can do it.
It looks badass! But DAMN, its hard as a rock, and I bought the optional driver gel. Does it get better with time? I cant imagine. The only experience I have with custom seats is Danny Gray on my Rocker and it is much more comfortable then this one. Anyway, anybody with experience or similar feelings?
I have a couple of different bikes right now...The Bare Bones seat is a bare bones seat... it looks bitchen on the bike, it is great for shorter rides. If you want a more comfy seat check out either a Silhouette Deluxe or a Monterey. I have both on two different bikes.. they are both definately better for longer distances
I think it is called Bare Bones for a reason......it is bare bones. I have a bare bones on a couple of my bikes, the look is awesome and great for going around town shorter distant rides. They do make other seats besides the barebones. I have a Maverick and a Monterey for longer rides!!!
