Finished !!

new 16 inch Hill Country Custom bars on my 1998 Fatboy. New cables, lines etc..
this went much easier than i expected. Spent about 2 - 3 hours breaking the bike down, old bars off, drain old brake line, take tanks and center console off etc...
Had to take the tranny end plate off to take off clutch cable, replaced gasket and it now has Royal Purple tranny fluid in it.. could not find redline locally.
All the electrics with the new hand controls work fine. they are very comfortable to ride.
I tried the "gentle aproach" bleeding the new brakes, no vacuum just patience, length of tube and a soda bottle.. had front brake working great in 15 mins..Fastest time ever with no special tools.
New braided stainless fuel lines etc too.. looks great.
I really enjoy working on the bike and this was a great project.
My 12 yr old son is on my bike, in his jammies, it was late when i finished and he was excited to sit on it.
The Kit from Hill Country was excellent...all the cables and lines were correct length etc.
the correct ends were on the control wires so it was easy to connect them to the wiring harness, once I pulled my bike apart.
Bike is incredible, the 95th anniversary paint job is so deep u could swim in it.
What my son doesn't know is this will be HIS bike one day. We have a big trip planned when he turns 21 and he will be on this bike. I reckon by then I'll have a standard issue old guy bagger :-)
Kit was awesome, the other parts needed i got from JP and they were cool too.
Not sure what the next project will be.
Got some good tips and advice here. thanks to everyone.
