Default Seat question??

I have a Danny Gray Buttcrack solo on my Deluxe. Danny Gray doesnt offer a passenger pillon for that seat. I rigged up the HD wide pillon to work with it but it is to high so my wife sits alot higher than I do with the super thin Buttcrack seat. My question is has any one put something together that works and looks good? Thanks

I can see your problem, I would think if no one comes up with anything to help you out you can always get that huge passenger seat shaved down.

In the cheap mods section a guy tells how he shaved the factory seat to make it more comfy for him. I'm sure the same method would work to make it look and feel right for your two up needs. I think he said he pulled the staples and shaped it with an electric fillet knife or something like that. Then just re-stapled it in place. Sounds easy enough. If not go to your local seat shop. I had my work saddle redone for $165.

That looks just like the stock pillion that our 07 Heritage had.
There isn't much padding in it to begin with (Height wise), cause of the fender arc is right where her tail bone will rilde.

My wife has a bad tail bone and I ended up getting Her the touring rear seat cause its about 1 1/2 higher.

U can cut Urs thinner, but much more and she'll really fell the bumps..

Oppps, re read OP, do U mean U added the wide seat as its the bigger touring add on.

If so I see Ur issue better.

Still anytime U U have a thinner seat to make her lower, she's gonna notice it.

IF she don't ride much, U might just put Ur stock seat on while 2 upping.
then back to Ur DG for solo.

I do that on just the rear. touring pillion when she ride and the one U see in my sig when I solo that I made from the orginal stock rear seat.

I just ordered a Danny Gray passenger pillon for one of their other solo seats hoping to make it work. It was only $70 on sale thru Dennis Kirk. Wish me luck.
