Default Joining the Softail Planet...

Hi,

I traded my Dyna Fatbob for a Softail Slim. First week: 1200 Miles of pure pleasure... so far so good, except the floorboards touching ground at almost every turn (harmless, so I don't care much).

Ciao.
Stefano.

I miss riding in Italy, though I was on an 02 Ninja then. Welcome.

How about a comparison between the rides.

The center of gravity of the bike being much lower on the Softail, it appears to be very agile (probably also helped by the spoke wheels compared to the bulky ones on the FatBob). It handles beautifully and you don't feel the weight at all. Coming from the Fatbob, that was already pretty good, the improvement is spectacular.

I had a problem with the seat... really hard but now I'm getting used to it so it's probably just a matter of time.

The only real limitation is the floorboard scratching the road at every turn... well not really _every_ one but as soon as you want to push it a bit... you hear the metal on the tarmac. Either you adopt a cooler driving stile either (and I think it's the way I'll go) you move the floorboard up by less than 0.5 inches.

For the rest... it's a pure joy to ride and looking forward to the next week-end.

Ciao.
Stefano.
