I have a new Dakota digital guage and it has a engine temp warning light. What temp should I set it. Its for my 08 rocker. Also what would you consider the red line to be . I have never had a tach before.
So what is the recommended setting to warn the bikes running hotter than normal.
What would be the recommended warning for the Dakota gauge now on a 103 2014 model?
Can anyone advise what's the best warning setting would be to set a 2014 103 with a dakota and what is the factory settling to trip the check engine light?
Cheers
There is no set answer. The MoCo doesn't even have one.
These bikes run hot, real hot at times. The highest I've seen my head temps get were around 360f and my bike still runs fine.

Greatly appreciated Dave,
So what temp does the check engine light come on for high engine temp? If you can advise, also the EITMS parade mode good idea and what temp does that kick in when enabled?
Cheers
