Default o2 sensor wrench

any of you guys have an easy solution, or do I need to wait until tomorrow and try to find one at an auto parts store? I don't feel like paying the HD price and I'm not pulling my exhaust off to get at them. I'm sure there's got to be some easy homemade tool options...

I pulled the exhausts and just used a wrench.

I did the same. Just take your time, be patient and you'll be fine. If you gt fruste, crack open a beer and walk away for a few minutes.

Yeah, I've had the pipes off and on enough times (two beer job for me), but was hopping to avoid it. I don't think even a normal o2 wrench will do the trick since the pcv auto-tune sensors are a fair bit longer. I might take a socket to a welding shop and get it lengthened then grind a slot in it. At least then I'll have one more tool to add to the collection. I was thinking there might be an easier way, but I guess I knew there wouldn't be.

find a tool guy at a garage and get one, they have short ones that work great. I have like 4 of them to get sensors off cars. If you make one use a black socket as the walls are thicker

I broke down and bought one, just got back so not sure if it'll work yet. It's a short offset one. I'll report back later after my auto tune is in. To bad I wasted the time and money buying a deep socket and cutting a notch threw it. I would work to take the older ones out, but not the new, longer PCV ones.

I know you already bought one..to remove the O2 sensors from your pipes while they're mounted? I just used a small open ended wrench on mine..

I looked at that option, but there was no room at all. Not sure if maybe they are mounted a little different on my pipes. Anyways, I got them off with the offset sensor wrench. The only trouble I ran into was that I had to take the seat post off. There was so little room that I can't imagine any wrench fitting through the opening. It wasn't a big job, and only took about 1/2 a beer. Pipes take two beer, so all said, I think I went about it the right way. Hmmm, now with all that extra time I have, I might go finish that beer... lol

PS: I suggest you all take a minute sometime and check your sensors. My rear was no more then hand tight...
