Default Seat Question....

OK... I have the 2012 Fatboy Lo. Stock seat SUCKS!!! I need to get a new one and I really prefer one with a backrest. So, the ones I've been looking at are:

HD Signature Series

Mustang Wide Touring

Mustang Sport Touring

I have little experience with all of these seats... so I would greatly appreciate any input I can get.

I saw a HD signature series seat today. It seemed pretty comfy for the 38 seconds I sat on it. However, that really doesn't say anything as to how it will feel after a few hundred miles.

I have the mustang touring with backrest. Great seat, only problem is it pushes you forward and up from your current riding position. I can ride hours comfortably. I have it on a Crossbones, same frame. Hope this helps.

G/f's 07 Fatboy has the Signature seat with backrest. We both think it's very comfortable although I prefer the Corbin solo w/backrest that also came with the bike. That one is a bit wider and it spreads your legs out making it a tough reach to the ground for her (she's barely 5'1").

Keep in mind that all butts are different - while I love the Corbin (and this is the first Corbin I've ever liked - most are harder than a buckboard bench IMO) you might prefer the Signature or the Mustang. Ideal would be to find a buddy with the seats you like and ride his bike a few times.

BTW, the stock seat on my 09 Fatboy is comfy as well, but since the bike is new to me I've not had a chance to take any long rides yet. Don't know if its the same seat as on the Lo.
