Default Softail Windshield Bag?

Hi Guys,
I have a 01 softail deuce, for my upcoming trip to the Adirondacks I'll be strapping on the winshield (it's the standard Harley windshield) and looking for purchase a bag/tool bag for the front forks to keep my sunglasses, wallet etc in.

Was wondering if there are any specialty bags that fit nicely behind the handle bars when the windshield is on.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!
Tim

Default bag

I got one from T-Bags. Fastens to the back of the windshield and has velcro or zipper lid closure. You should be able to see on line. It is big enough to hold a light jacket.

I'm thinking of trying this one out - ugly, but ooks fairly big for the trip!

"For Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic, Softail Deluxe, and Fat Boy 1996 – present" I assume this should fit alright on the deuce? I'll just sent them over an email.

If you're looking for a windshield bag check out foxcreek leather or chilhowee leather. Wife has one on her softail, I have the other. Both are of equal quality and much better than the HD model I looked at.

They're about 10" wide and 4" deep. They mount to a single stud/bolt in the center of the windshield.

On one of my Heritage Softails the H-D optional windshield mounted bags tended to shake quite a bit (I think it was the '92).
I went to the dealer and purchased two additional windshield nuts/bolts.

I carefully measured the distances beween the stock nuts and bolts, the centered and marked the windshield braces and drilled two holes directly through the back ofthe bag and installed the additional nuts/bolts.

This eliminated the shaking even when the bag was empty.

I got the Raider BCS-917 10.5" x 6.5" x 3" for $20. Fills the entire space between the windshield and handlebars. Built great. No need to spend a hundred:

Has the funky bolt mount thing, but I just secure it to the handlebars with the two buckles.

That's a great bag right there if you need something larger.

Nice for $20. Does it have a metal plate on the back? Could not find any pics of the back on the internet.
