I am 5'7" and had Wild1 Chubby 1 1/4"x16" & 1 1/2" risers on my old SB. So at 6'1" I would say nothing lower than 16".

I just installed Burly 14" narrow apes on my S/B Im 5'11 they are perfect and even with my shoulders. i don't know your state law, but there are some states that say they can not be above shoulder height. I have to say the Burly bars give a smooth ride.

Florida says no higher than the shoulders when seated on the motorcycle. Texas says no higher than 15" above the seat. Go to the dealership sometime and measure some of the bikes with mini apes from the factory. I know my old SB came from the MOCO illegal as per Texas law.

Get a buddy to help you figure out the height you feel comfortable with.

I'm 6-0, and have 18" Wild Ones and 16" Carlini Flying Apes (actually 17.5"). They are both maybe 1" above my shoulders. I would recommend that you go at least 16". SJ Ron

Sit on your scoot with a broom stick, figure out where your comfort level is goin to be with apes...measure up to it. BR's web site has quite a few videos and info to help you out.
