Default Ape install help

Got the bike just about apart, need to know few things and my searches have not really given exactly what I need. I've got a 2003 fatboy carbed, installing 12.5" wild1 apes. How long do I need to extend the wires? And how the hell do I unhook the clutch from the tranny?

So far found a bad connection at the oil tank where the chrome tubing enters the tank... Slight leak and I tanked it out... Dumb. Now it won't go in, oh well something wasn't right. Second thing, when trying to disconnect the gas line from the petcock the brass tube came out if the petcock instead of the tube coming out of the hose... How do you fix that.

Ok to un hook clutch u have to pull the cover off and to do that you have to drop the exhaust once you have pull the tran cover the clutch cable will un hook from pressure plate in the adjustment on the cable close it all the way!The wires there are a few kits out there go to ebay and type in fat boy wires.. But if you had stock bars on before your can go to HD and tell them what you are doing but the common way would be like for thottle cable you would say stock +12..

Well not sure on that on thats alittle diff then stock it loks like but it does look to me if you take those back to screws out it will allow it to spread and put it back in..But i really think that that is one piece and it might have broke..
You can get cheap stock one alday long on ebay.

Use BR's web site bro...lotsa videos walk ya right thru it. Wiring is no issue as long ya dont mind solderin, the cables I just use a string once the bars are in place and route it the way I want and measure the end product. Now if ya want to order exrensions for the wiring namz has several options.

Thanks man.

Now I'm cluttering my counter with wires, just need the magic +? Number to get this part done. Then disconnect the exhaust and deal with clutch cable...then get the oil connector figured. Just like me to create 2 problems while fixing something else. Though in my defense I wasn't pulling very hard when the gas line broke... The oil tube... well that's another story, slight leak has been evident for a while. Since the bike was unridable figured I'd look at it closer...what kind of a connection is that? Tubing just slides into the tank?

Almost there, fixed the oil problem...

Seem to have plenty of brake line... Maybe too much?
where do I route this to take up the slack? Also, whee do you route clutch line? Through frame or under? Sorry, have imbibed quite a few tonight and nothing makes much sense...
