Default Stickers

Question: On the 2 front down tubes of a Harley frame there are stickers on each downtube. 1 sticker has the VIN I think and what not and on the other downtube there is some kind of warning sticker. Can these be removed without hurting the paint? The frame has the VIN number stamped into the frame itself so do we really need that? I don't like "stuff" on my bike. I like very plain and simple, chrome, chrome and more chrome is all. I like very clean and simple lines. I don't even like the Harley thing on my tank and the words "Deluxe" on my front fender. I want to remove those stickers on the frame if at all possible, at least the "warning" sticker on the right side downtube. By the way, what holds the Harley insignia on the tank and the words "Deluxe" on the front fender? If I could get away without those on there and not having holes on my bike I would remove those too. Thanks in advance for comments and information passed on.

Yep, I just hit them with the heat gun to loosen the adhesive a little and they pealed right off. You can stick on the inside cover of a manual throw them in the trash. lol Looks so much cleaner with them gone!

You can remove them all including the tank and fender badges they should just be double sided tape. Heat them up a little then peel them and you can also use fishing string to slide behind the tank emblems to remove them with ease then a little adhesive remover for the residue.

Some people have all the luck! LOL Before heating mine, you only could chip away little pieces at a time with a finger nail...after heating just a little it peeled right off.

The Deluxe badges on the fender are held on through pins off the badge same as the chrome trim edges, so if you remove them you'll leave 2 holes each side. Tank emblems are just held on with double sided tape & can be removed leaving no marks, the stickers on front down tubes, as already said use a little heat to remove.

So, to make it clear before I screw my bike up royal, there are no holes behind the tank and fender emblems? I would sure hate to put some fishing line behind them and yank them off only to find holes in my tank where something would fit into, to hold them on!!! The stickers I am OK with, the other, not so OK!!!!

The fender badge has holes, do not remove it if you don't want the holes to show.

The tank badge can be removed...no holes there.
