2006 night train

Seems that my bike is having idling issues, sounds like it is going to die when at idle rpm. Was at stop light, when i went to throttle the bike stalled and a puff of smoke came from the air cleaner. Any ideas?

On an EFI bike (or carb'd for that matter) that is an indication of a rich condition, normally. There are a number of things that can cause this depending upon what you have done to the bike. If you haven't done anything, then a sticky IAC can cause this, for example.

Check the easy stuff first, Does it behave strange at High RPMs too, check your spark plug cables and plugs, if every now and then your pistons dont fire, they can cause abnormal amounts of fuel in the cyclinders and cause poor idle. Secondly run a quarter can of sea foam through the bike and try to clean out the injectors a bit, the stuff is a miracle in a can, Also bad fuel can cause your symptoms. Tons of stuff it could be but do the easy stuff first.
