Help needed. I took my 06 Heritage in and had the PCIII remapped at a local shop. it seems to run good, but i get 29 miles a gallon and dont seem like it has the power it should for everything that was done to it before i bought it. I went on the website (dynojet power commander) and i could not even find where to download a map for it. I did hook my computer up and copied the map that they had put in the bike. they said that a dyno shop did the last map and it was way off what they put in it. I dont know who was correct. i can add the info for my bike if that will help. thanks
Did they Dyno it or just upload a canned map? Sounds like you're running rich based on gas mileage, I would take it to a shop that has a dyno and a tech certified on the power commander. Canned maps can only get you close, a dyno tune with a good tech will get you dead on.
The Heritage maps were a bit confusing to try and come across for 2006. However, the below says it's all the maps for a 2006 Softail. You can play around with the selections to see if you get a better fit for your components. I thought about PM'ing Fuelmoto as well to see if they have a map/recommendation for better mileage, but I'm not sure if that's too tacky since I didn't purchase the PCIII from them (used local dealer instead as I didn't know about Fuelmoto at the time). Good luck and let us know how you come out!
Thanks everyone. I will be taking it in for a dyno tune if i cant get it like i think it should be. Not sure how to find the right shop to do it. I live in rural minnesota so i dont have anything close.
