Best mods can be put in to price ranges. Some ranging in the thousands and some in the hundreds. Best low dollar is probably bars and grips or seat or anything for comfort. High side I'd say engine upgrades. You can never have too much power.

Best functional mod = cams. More power...better sound...cooler running...and I now have a useable 6th gear.

Best visual mod. Freight train nacelle. My bike is blacked out...so a pc'd freight train, with black lowers, and black fangs make my front end look sick.

I have two. Best for function and ride: Shotgun shock
Best for comfort and convenience: detachable fairing with killer radio

1. Cams
2. Shotgun Shock
3. Wheels
4. Apes
5. Seat
6. Fender & LED 3 in 1 tail lights
...in that order

BTW, you can get chrome covers for your swingarm for like $130, if you don't want to spend the $500+installation for a whole new chrome one. Visually the covers make it look like you have a chrome swingarm. Just sayin...

I don't have many mods, but hard bags are the one for me. I can enjoy my bike so much more with it having carrying cappacity.

Looks - lowering kit - just my preference, but have never seen a stock bike look as nice as a lowered bike.

Performance - cams for your riding style.
