Default Forward control extensions for Night Train

Hello, I'm new to forums and don't know exactly how they work to well as far as posting.

I was wondering if anybody knows if the Arlen Ness and other extensions require a new longer brake line for an 08 Night Train. HD told me I would need to get a new brake line with the factory extension kit. The brake line is $80 and the extension kit is like $470.

Guess what I would like to know is if I'm better off with the Arlenn Ness kit. Any help would be great, thanks.

I have the Ness 3" kit on my '06 Train and love it. Got it new eBay $166. Kit is made very nice. It comes with a stainless steal braided Brake line. I hear with a 2" ext kit you don't need the brake line but not sure if that's true. Welcome to the forum!

Have the Arien Ness 3 inch extension kit on my 03 Train. Quality bolt on kit that includes extended brake line and shifter linkage though I decided to fabricated my own custom linkage. The only issue I had with the kit is that it utilizes the stock brake lever which becomes 3 inches further out. Fabricated my own brake lever for a better position. Photos attached.
