Rider Back rest

A buddy of mine has a Heritage Softail and he is having a problem with the backrest pushing him too close to the tank for comfort. Do any of you guys have any suggestions? Thanks

Bend it backwards.

Get a thinner backrest pad.

Get an adjustable backrest.

Take it off and throw it away
