Hello all, I am a new member on this board! Need a little bit of help. I have a 2004 Softail FXSTI, that I hopped up over the winter. (ported heads & went from an 88 to a 95 in cams)
A few weeks ago, after I installed my power commander, I took it to be tuned, and realized I had an intake leak. Fixed that issue, and when I went back to be re-tuned, at first everything was great. We tuned the front cylinder, then when we went to the back, things started acting up. At first it acted as if I had another air leak, then all of a sudden, it went from 90 HP to 66 HP like someone flipped a switch. Rechecked the front cylinder and it went from being correct to running very lean. the rear was also lean but was never correct. Rechecked for air leaks at the manifold, injectors and throttle body, and also head gaskets, with none detected. Bike still runs but not well.
Any suggestions on what the issue could be is much appreciated!!!!!!!
You could give Jamie at FuelMoto a call Monday to see if he can help you out. Maybe some one else in here will chime in. Have you tried a map from Power Commander's site?
Tomorrow I am going to do a compression test, fuel pressure test, and put on my V&H fuel pack to see if they lead me down any paths I will keep you guys posted on my findings
