Default Forward control on Deuce

Hello, I own a Sportster but am looking to purchase a Deuce. Anybody out there 5'9" or below in height riding a Deuce. Anyone having difficulty reaching? I would test ride one but I am not finding one locally. Thanks for your help.

I have aftermarket controls on my deuce, under 5'-9" and no problem as far as reach.

You can also get "reach" or "close up" seat that will move you a couple inches forward.

The softails seem to have the closest forward controls of any of the Harleys I've ridden. At 5'9" you'll have no problem reaching the pedals.

You may also consider getting the Mustang Solo seat as it seems to push me forward a little more. Of course, that's if you end up buying one. But how could you NOT?!?! You ride one, you'll have to have it!

5' 9" is about perfect on a Softy.

I'm 5'7" 185#, 30" inseam. stock pegs/handlebars, 2000 deuce, VH staggered shortys. In my HD boots, i have no issues reaching the pegs or the ground. tennis shoes are a little thinner so slight bit more of a reach, but you should be fine.

previously i had a 2000 sporty custom 1200, it was actually a further reach than the deuce.
