I have a1996 custom. I was having issues with the bike shutting down. I originally thought it was because it was overheating. Found out the coil was fried. I replaced the coil. Checked the cam sensor. Cam sensor is fine. the bike started sputtering while riding and shut down. Changed out spark plugs because they were fried. Now the bike still sputters, shuts down mid ride and fires back up. Odd thing is it fires back up after after a hard backfire and not by hitting the ignition switch. It fires back up when I twist the throttle. Also, it shuts down after about 5 minutes of idle in the driveway. If anyone had any ideas please . This is boggling my brain.
