Default oil leak

Have a 2004 Heritage Softail. Every 3-4 days I find a few drops of oil on the garage floor. I believe it is trans oil beacuse it look like new oil. I can't seem to see where it is coming from. It drips onto the right shock and makes it way to the floor. Anyone have the same issue?

It could be that you need a new o ring on the transmission drain plug. The transmission oil is up between the shocks so that makes some sense. Drain, it, put a new o ring, and fill it back up.

The bolts that secure the bottom of the trans door may have come loose enough to allow a leak. Mine has started to weep a little, just enough to collect dust and look shitty. I have seen this in here before, too. I will attend to mine next time I have the pipes off or it gets worse, whichever comes first.

I've got a similar oil leak on my 2003 Fatboy..right side, just forward of where the rear wheel should be..I have a trike, so it's just in front of the right tire..sometimes it doesn't leak, but I usually see a few drops..I'm about to take it to the Harley shop to have it checked out..if I find out anything, I'll pass it along..
