Default Noise

Anyone ever encounter a ticking noise, after the engine warms up it gets louder. Sounds like not enough oil being delivered. Just recently upgraded the cam tensioners on my 2005 fxsti to the oil pressured tensioners with the screaming eagle kit including new pump and plate. Adjustable pushrods were installed. Started using the Lucas semi synthetic oil. I have about 200 miles on it after repairs. Have not been able to pinpoint noise but sounds like its coming form the top end. Thanks for any info.

First thing I would look at is the adjustable pushrods.

Always start with the last thing you touched, sometimes the adjustable pushrods can rub against the pushrod tubes...

Checked the pushrods and nothing there. also pulled the rocker covers and all is well in there. To pinpoint the noise a little better i think its coming from the primary side towards the front. Someone suggested to check the compensator sprocket. Any other suggestions?

Mine is geting louder and is starting to make more of a knocking noise especially at higher RPM's and I've only got 1700 miles on it. I took it in for the 1000 mile check up and told them that it was doing it but it's still getting louder. I've heard of 103's doing this but not at a 1000 miles so I dont know what to do about it.
