Wow, just realized where you are. I found my bike North of you up in Arlington. Check the Portland area too. I have seen several Heritage Classic Evo's listed for under 8K down here (some down around 6K as well) and a few of them looked like they were in great shape. If you find the right deal you can jump on Amtrak to get here and then ride the bike back.

Thanks. That 96 is back on the market. The consignment didn't happen. I'm gonna try it out as soon as I can. I honestly feel better about an older bike that I can work on. If I had the bucks for a brand new one or even a newer one, I would go for the warranty. I'll let you know what happens.

That one has about 12k less than mine and I would not hesitate to jump on mine anytime and head to the east coast and back.

Gonna go look at an 05 Heritage with 6500 miles on it for $9450. I still have this weird feeling in my stomach about computer controlled fuel mixtures and warning lights.

That 96 is still available too although I still want the full story on why the engine was replaced.

My buddy recently bought a 03 Anniversary Edition RK
He loves it.
Got it for 10500 with ono 8500 miles on it.
Personally I'd try to find one with as low of miles as possible.
I saw a 99 Dnya on craigslist the other day with on 2200 miles for 7900
See at least one nice low mileage older bike a month.
Their out there just need to be patient.
Happy Hunting.

Going with the 05 Heritage for $9K. Much nicer bike and lower miles. I'll learn to deal with the computer.
