I just bought a 2001 HD Duece with 8,000 miles on it. The bike is in excellent condition with one exception. When I ride by myself the bike cranks and runs great. When someone gets on back to ride with me the bike starts acting stupid, turn on the switch and hit the start button and it sound like the battery is dead just clicks. Switch it off and turn it back on and it try's to start without hitting the start button. When the person gets off, I can bounce the bike a few times and it goes back to starting normal.

I have removed the seat and looked for possible shorts and don't see anything.

Any thought would be greatly appreciated.

Easy stuff first..

Check Ur battery cables... Are U nuts tight and check the ground cables...

All Tight and clean...

After that,,, then U'll need to check for ground outs...
