I purchased a Dunlop and a Friend purchased the Commander II's at the same time this spring. I have an 06' Night Train and he has a 07' softail standard, we both have just under 5,000 miles on the tires and my dunlop is about due for a change and his Michelin Commander II's look hardly worn. We both have the same riding style. Two weeks ago I mail ordered a set of Commander II's and will be installing them in the near future. @ $100 less than the Dunlops and seeing with my own eyes the difference in wear it was a no brainer to give them a try.

Just put a set on my FB @ the 10k mark. They ride nice and hopefully in 8 to 10K I will be able to tell you how they wear.

Just ordered my second set this morning for my 08 FXSTC. 200/55/r17 and 80/90/21. I got almost 5k on mine and they are almost gone now. I'd say about %75 of the riding they seen were in the Ozarks of Arkansas with 900 of those miles 2 up. I may get another 1000 miles of local riding out of them if I want to push it, but they have seen their last road trip. At least the front and rear wear at the same rate it seems, at least for me anyhow. Always ran 40/40 on pressure, except when 2 up then ran 40/42. They didn't seem to outlast any other tire I've run, but I'm sticking with them because I like the handling and traction of them above any other tire I've run in the past.

I got 9800 miles on my last Com II and that's almost double what I get with the stock tire. Till something better comes along this what I will run.

I put a set on my 04 Heritage a month ago...now 3500 miles on them and they are showing NO wear. They ride good, hold great in the twisties of the Texas Hill Country, even in the 110 degree riding weather we've seen (again) this year! No issues with the tires at ALL...We are riding to Bikes, Blues and BBQ in Fayetteville, Arkansas the end of the month, 2500+ mile trip, will be interesting to see the tread depth measurements before and after!

I put a set on my '07 Fatboy, have over 4000 miles on them and they show very little wear. My last Dunlops only lasted 7000. I'll buy them for my Sportster when she needs new shoes.

Are you guys running stock air pressure in these?

I know that some other brands call for higher psi....
