Stopping updraft with windshield

Default Stopping updraft with windshield
So I put a nostalgic windshield on my 12 deluxe, does a good job of cutting down the cold wind and cutting down the buffeting on long freeway runs. Only issue is the updraft created by the windshield. It's purely cosmetic issue as I have a decent length goatee and when I get off the bike it's pushed up and locked in that spot till I wet it down. Plus when riding it blows the hair into my mouth and is quite annoying.

I don't typically run the shield when it's warm since I like the air movement and no shield doesnt mess with the goatee, but its cold now and will be cold in the spring, add in the longer rides I plan to do next summer I'd like to not have to be bothered with it anymore.


Is there something out there designed to stop the updraft that works and is easily removable? I.e. don't need to use a wrench to pull them off?

I sympathize with you. Mustache is a mess after riding with the 'shield on. Don't have a fix for you, tho.

I have a Harley windshield bag on my Nostalgia windshield just for that reason. Works like a charm and the added storage comes in handy as well.

This winter I plan on making some fork deflectors to deal with this. Follow the wind with your hand. On mine it comes from below he windshield.

"Fangs" work well for me on my Softail!

Harley P/N is 58125-90B . . . about $70 List Price . . .

The fangs will work but they're not quick detachable, but only a ten minute job to get them on or off.

Try putting your legs against the gas tank and see if that helps. Eliminated the updraft for me on my Bones. Sounds lame, but it worked, for me.

These Dawgs work some - probibly better w fangs [ugly IMHO]
