Default springer maintenance

HI, How often does a springer from 95 model need to have maintanance done to it, like bushes?

Depends on how well you maintain it. Some bikes have well over 100,000 miles on the stock fork bushings. Keep them well lubed and adjusted and they will last a long, long time.

Just inspect everything every 5k miles. Also check,adjust and lube the neck bearings.

Manual says inspect/lube every 2500....

Thanks for the reply everyone, very helpful. Mate looking to buy a low miles bike but was told springer needeed maint. every 1000.

Harley -Davidson's are HIGH maintenance motorcycles, the springers more so. Get a manual and parts book for the year and model bike that you have, fallow the schedule in it to the letter, and use only quality products. Remember, you have something that people all over the world covet and desire. People have the name, logo's tatooed on there body's ( I'v never seen a Honda tatoo).Treat it with respect.

Seems like the older ones needed serviced at 2500, Don't know bout the new one,, maybe they changed something.

just ask the master wrench at Ur dealer and see what he says.
